Hi, I’m Demi Utley, the Bid to Win instructor.

After submitting hundreds of RFP responses across countless industries, I’ve learned how to easily create proposals that are engaging and persuasive. Leveraging my APMP proposal certification as well as my experience in sales at large companies, I teach students like you how to respond to RFPs and present your company in the best light. RFPs can be overwhelming, confusing, and difficult to pull together by the deadline. In this course, I’ll teach you how to conduct competitive research and use that to develop a winning strategy. We’ll also dive into key meetings to hold for every RFP to have a solid strategy in place every time.

  • There are seven hours of video lessons plus worksheets for nearly every video. You can either binge the videos all at once and then go back to complete the worksheets or complete the worksheets along with the videos.

    The best approach is to complete the worksheets immediately after the video. The length will vary, but allocate about 10-15 minutes for watching the video and an hour to completing the work. Longer sections, like writing your project approach, might take several hours depending on if you’ve completed the other worksheets already and how long you spend perfecting the content.

  • You will need a reliable internet connection to complete the video lessons and access the resources.

  • Yes, this course is focused on how to create a winning strategy when responding to RFPs.

  • While writing is discussed in this course, it is not a focused. This is a strategy course, not a writing training.

  • Unfortunately, this course is focused on sales (for profit) proposals. While the strategies can certainly apply to other types of proposals, all examples and explanations are from a for-profit perspective. You likely won’t get as much benefit from this course as you would from one specific to grants or sponsorships.
